The following people were dealt with at Cardiff Magistrates Court: Barry Joseph Pickup, 32, of Springfield Place, Adamsdown, Cardiff, was fined pounds 300 with pounds 60 court costs and pounds 15 victims surcharge and banned from driving for 24 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving. He had 101 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, almost three times the legal limit of 35. Brian Martin Francis, 54, of Powderham Drive, Grangetown, Cardiff, was fined pounds 250 with pounds 50 court costs and pounds 15 victims surcharge after pleading guilty to drink-driving. He had 94 milligrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood when the legal limit is 80. Lisa Munn, 23, of Sir Ivor Place, Dinas Powys, was given a 12- month community order, with 100 hours of unpaid work and had six penalty points added to her driving licence after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance. Mark Richard Canavan, 37, of Western Avenue North, Gabalfa, Cardiff, was fined pounds 100 with pounds 30 court costs and pounds 15 victims surcharge and banned from driving for two months after he was convicted in his absence of using a car without insurance. Philip David Murphy, 34, of Bromley Drive, Ely, Cardiff, was jailed for a total of three months and disqualified from driving for a year after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance, stealing toiletries, assault and failing to surrender to bail, in breach of a conditional discharge. Abdi Nur, 27, of East Tyndall Street, Adamsdown, Cardiff, was fined pounds 100 with pounds 30 court costs and banned from driving for two months, after he was convicted in his absence of driving without the correct licence and without insurance or an MoT. Halima Ibrahim Ali, 41, of Leckwith Mews, Leckwith, Cardiff, was fined pounds 75 with pounds 15 victims surcharge and had three penalty points added to his driving licence after pleading guilty to driving without the correct licence. Radek Biely, 22, of Salvia Close, St Mellons, Cardiff, was fined a total of pounds 200 with pounds 15 victims surcharge and banned from driving for four months after pleading guilty to using a car without the correct licence, without an MoT or insurance. Stephen Fry, 26, of Plymouthwood Close, Ely, Cardiff, was given an 18- month community order after pleading guilty to failing to comply with a community order. Craig Paul Phillip Rodgers, 23, of Heol Poyston, Ely, Cardiff, was given a 12-month community order, with three- month curfew, after pleading guilty to failing to comply with a community order. Geraldine Davenport, 55, of Habershon Street, Splott, Cardiff, was given a 12-month community order, with 40 hours of unpaid work, after pleading guilty to taking a child away from the responsible adult looking after it and resisting a police officer in the course of their duty, in breach of a suspended sentence order. Nathan Hughes, 18, of Grand Avenue, Ely, Cardiff, was detained in a young offenders institution for three months after he admitted breaching the community requirement of the terms of a suspended prison sentence by assault. Roy Keith Woods, 43, of Rhossili Avenue, Rumney, Cardiff, was given a four- month prison sentence, suspended for a year, and told to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay pounds 500 compensation to the Bethania Evangelical Chapel, Old St Mellons, Cardiff, after he pleaded guilty to stealing lead flashing from its roof. Lisa Marie Astley, 34, of Alice Street, Docks, Cardiff, was given a nine-month community order and told to pay pounds 50 court costs, after pleading guilty to stealing pounds 24 of womens clothes from Primark during the period of a conditional discharge. Sharat Ventrapragada, 25, of Cressy Road, Roath, Cardiff, was fined pounds 150 with pounds 60 court costs and pounds 15 victims surcharge, and banned from driving for 12 months, after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
